Stuffed New York Strip Steaks

What You Need...
2 Lean New york Strip Steaks (about 1/2 lb. each)
2 cans No Salt added Mushrooms or 1 cup fresh sliced
2 TBS. Fleischmans unsalted margarine
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
Fresh parsley or 1/2 teaspoon chopped
1/4 teaspoon sage
3 slices low sodium bread (broken up into chunks)
1 tsp. No Sodium beef bullion

2 TBS. water
1/3 cup water
Melt butter and Olive oil in a preheated pan and sauteed onions and garlic. Add mushrooms and sauteed till everything is caramelized. Add your 1/3 cup water, seasonings, and the No Sodium bullion and stir and simmer. After simmering for about 10 minutes, and remove from heat . Stir in the bread chunks. If the stuffing mixture is to dry, add one or two TBS. of water at a time until desired moisture is reached.
Split steaks creating a "pocket" with a filet knife. When the stuffing has cooled enough to handle, insert it into the steaks pocket and place on a roasting pan. Season and roast or bake at 350º for about 20- 30 minutes depending on the thickness of your steaks and desired doneness.
