Low Sodium Toasting Bread

This Recipe is adapted

from King Aurthers Bread Flour.

Items containing sodium,

have beed deleted or substituted.



What You Need
for a 2lb. Loaf

What You Need
3c - King Arthers Unbleached (Zero Sodium) Flour

1c - Old Fashion Rolled Oats (Zero Sodium) I used Instant

2T - Flieschmans Unsalted Margerine

1/2t - Nu-Salt Salt substitute

1 1/2t - Yeast

1 1/4c - lukewarm milk (may substitute water)

3/4c - Raisins

Directions

Combine all of the ingredients into your Bread Machine, EXCEPT THE RAISINS). Some Bread Machines have a seperate yeast dispenser, you may use that for your yeast if you so desire.  Otherwise, combine the milk or water, Yeast, margerine, Nu-Salt into the bread machine, then add the flour and oats. Add part oats. part flour, part oats, part flour and so on for an even mixture.

Add the raisins after the bread machine has mixed the dough for a couple of minutes.
Baking... You may let your bread machine run through it's mixing cycle, then remove the dough from the bread machine. Allow the dough to rise in a regular bread pan pre-sprayed with a sodium-free spray, covered under a towel. Then bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour, or until Golden Brown. Watch that the outside of the loaf does not blacken.
