Jewish Rye

2 LB. Loaf Jewish Rye

2 T - Olive Oil
1 1/2c - Bread Flower (Sodium Free)
1 1/2 c - Medium Rye Flour (Sodium Free)
1 1/2 t - Yeast

1T - sugar or 1 packet of splenda (optional)

3T - Buttermilk

1T - Honey

3T - Caraway Seeds

1 1/2c - Warm Water



Directions
Combine all of the ingredients into your Bread Machine. Some Bread Machines have a seperate yeast dispenser, you may use that for your yeast if you so desire.  Otherwise, combine the water, Yeast, Buttermilk, Honey, Sugar, Oil, and caraway seeds   into the bread machine, then add the flours.

Baking... You may let your bread machine run through it's mixing cycle, then remove the dough from the bread machine. Allow the dough to rise in a regular bread pan pre-sprayed with a sodium-free spray, covered under a towel. While baking you may wash the top of the bread with buttermilk. Then bake at 450 for 25-30 minutes or until Golden Brown. You should be able to hear a hollow sound when you tap on the bread loaf.
